The Cause

Reach Out WorldWide

Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Paul Walker. After a massive earthquake devastated Haiti in January 2010, Paul organized a relief team and saw firsthand the gap between the skilled personnel available and the communities that needed them after a disaster. He founded ROWW to fill that need, and today the organization continues to respond to natural disasters around the world, from earthquakes to hurricanes.

Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in Sponsor’s sole discretion, including, but not limited to, because the Grand Prize vehicle as described above is unavailable.  In the event the Grand Prize vehicle becomes unavailable as described above,  Sponsor reserves the right to require the Grand Prize Winner to take the Cash Alternative. A Winner’s written selection of the Grand Prize vehicle is preliminary and becomes final only upon written confirmation at the Inspection Event or upon Sponsor’s receipt of a signed Inspection Waiver, each as described below.

Vehicle Inspection and Prize Confirmation Event: If the Grand Prize Winner selects the Grand Prize vehicle rather than the Cash Alternative Option, the Winner must, unless the Winner waives inspection as described below, attend an in-person inspection event at a Sponsor-specified location in the Los Angeles, CA area (the “Inspection Event”) within twenty-one (21) days of winner notification, on a date scheduled with Sponsor. Sponsor will provide round-trip coach airfare within the United States or Canada and up to one (1) night of hotel accommodations for the Winner and one (1) guest. The guest must have reached the age of majority in his or her State, Province or Territory of residence and must sign a liability and publicity release prior to travel. The Winner and guest must travel together on the same itinerary. If the Winner resides within one hundred (100) miles of the Inspection Event location, airfare and hotel accommodations will not be provided, and no cash or other compensation will be awarded in lieu of them. Ground transportation, meals, incidentals, and all other travel expenses not expressly stated are the sole responsibility of the Winner and guest. Travel is non-transferable and has no cash value. At the Inspection Event, the Winner will personally inspect the vehicle, including its condition and odometer reading, and will confirm in writing his or her final selection of the vehicle or the Cash Alternative Option. A Winner selecting the vehicle must sign a Vehicle Condition Acknowledgement confirming acceptance of the vehicle in its condition as inspected, as described in the Vehicle Condition section below. The Winner’s acceptance of the vehicle’s condition occurs at the Inspection Event. Following the Inspection Event, Sponsor will ship the vehicle to the Winner’s address at Sponsor’s expense in accordance with the shipping terms above. Any claim of damage occurring during shipping must be reported to Sponsor in writing, with photographs, within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery; the vehicle is otherwise deemed delivered in the condition accepted at the Inspection Event. As a condition of receiving the vehicle, the Winner agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activities at the Inspection Event, including filming, photography, and interviews, in accordance with the publicity release in the Standard Sweepstakes Terms and Conditions, except where prohibited by law. If the Winner does not attend the Inspection Event or deliver a signed Inspection Waiver to Sponsor within the required period and Sponsor, in its sole discretion, does not agree to an alternate date, the Winner will be deemed to have elected the Cash Alternative Option in lieu of the vehicle. If, after accepting the vehicle at the Inspection Event or by Inspection Waiver, the Winner fails to provide proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license within fourteen (14) days after the Inspection Event or Sponsor’s receipt of the Inspection Waiver, as applicable, or refuses or fails to accept delivery of the vehicle when tendered by Sponsor, the Winner will be deemed to have elected the Cash Alternative Option in lieu of the vehicle, and the tax cash payment will not be awarded.

Waiver of Inspection: The Winner may elect to waive the Inspection Event by signing and returning to Sponsor, within the twenty-one (21) day period described above, a Vehicle Condition Acknowledgement and Inspection Waiver in the form provided by Sponsor (the “Inspection Waiver”). A Winner who waives the Inspection Event does so entirely at his or her own risk. A signed Inspection Waiver has the same effect as if the Winner had attended the Inspection Event, personally inspected the vehicle, including its condition and odometer reading, and accepted the vehicle in writing, “AS IS,” as described in the Vehicle Condition section below. The Winner’s acceptance of the vehicle and its condition occurs upon Sponsor’s receipt of the signed Inspection Waiver, and the Winner’s selection of the vehicle rather than the Cash Alternative Option becomes final at that time. After signing the Inspection Waiver, the Winner may not reject the vehicle, elect the Cash Alternative Option, or make any claim based on the vehicle’s condition, mileage, equipment, or any other matter that an in-person inspection could have revealed, other than shipping damage reported as described above. Any photographs, video, or descriptions of the vehicle that Sponsor chooses to provide before the Winner signs the Inspection Waiver are provided for convenience only and are not a representation or warranty regarding the vehicle’s condition. No airfare, hotel accommodations, or other travel, and no cash or other compensation in lieu of them, will be provided to a Winner who waives the Inspection Event. Following receipt of the signed Inspection Waiver, Sponsor will ship the vehicle in accordance with the shipping terms above; any claim of shipping damage must be reported as described above, and the vehicle is otherwise deemed delivered in its condition as of the date of the Inspection Waiver. A Winner who waives the Inspection Event agrees to participate in reasonable promotional activities at delivery or at another reasonable time and place designated by Sponsor, including filming, photography, and interviews, in accordance with the publicity release in the Standard Sweepstakes Terms and Conditions, except where prohibited by law.

Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable, and no substitutions will be made except as provided herein, in the Sponsor’s sole discretion.  All expenses not specified, including, but not limited to insurance, are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Winner must obtain and provide proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license prior to delivery. Sponsor’s decisions regarding timing and location of delivery of the Prize are final. Delivery timing is subject to availability and scheduling and may be delayed. The actual retail value of the Prize may vary. If the actual value of the Prize is lower than the stated maximum value, the difference will not be awarded. If, after the Prize has been awarded or delivered, Sponsor determines that the Winner was ineligible, violated these Sweepstakes Rules or the Standard Sweepstakes Terms and Conditions, or obtained the Prize through fraud or misrepresentation, the Winner must, at Sponsor’s election, return the vehicle or repay Sponsor the vehicle’s maximum estimated retail value, and must repay any cash awarded as part of the Prize, and Sponsor may pursue all other remedies available at law or in equity.

Vehicle Condition: The Prize vehicle has been previously titled and/or used, including for promotional and other purposes, and will not be awarded as a new vehicle. The vehicle is expected to have approximately 21,000 miles at the time of award; however, actual mileage may be higher due to transportation, promotional use, maintenance, testing, or other use prior to delivery. The Prize vehicle will be awarded “AS IS”, subject to any transferable manufacturer warranty, if applicable. Sponsor makes no independent warranty, representation, or guarantee, express or implied, regarding the vehicle, including its condition, quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. The vehicle’s VIN is listed in the Grand Prize description above, and Sponsor will provide a vehicle history report to the Winner upon request. The Winner is responsible for scheduling any open manufacturer safety recall repairs with an authorized dealer.

Prize vehicles may not meet safety or emissions testing required in some states, and/or counties/municipalities. The Winner is responsible to check their state/county for applicable emissions requirements and safety inspection requirements prior to accepting the Prize and must use vehicle in accordance with those regulations. Sponsor is not responsible for ensuring the vehicle complies with Canadian import requirements.

The Maximum Estimated Retail Value (“the MERV”) of the Grand Prize is US$136,978 for US residents and US$111,978 for non-US residents, assuming the Grand Prize Winner does not choose the Cash Alternative Option.
