Brooks has won 22 Academy of Country Music Awards and received 47 overall nominations.
In 1999 Brooks began the Teammates for Kids Foundation, which provides financial aid for children. Brooks is also a fundraiser for various other charities, including a number of children’s charities and famine relief.
